The Cat Empire - News - Asylum (Tunes for Change)

That's right!, head over to www.tunesforchange.org, and for as little as $5.00, you can here some tracks you may or may not be hearing for the first time ever!

The real stand-outs in this release have to be the previously unreleased 'original' version of "Call Me Home" and the Demo II version of "Song for the Day". Besides these, the other tracks have been released in one form or another (listed below) but are still corkers.
Lastly, track 9 'Once Upon a Time...' is actually 'Pass the Time'. Little boo-boo during production I guess (This error has since been corrected).

Make sure you get in quick, it's a limited time only.

Track listing:
1. Feline Intro - 2:37 - F Riebl - from Touring Europe and the UK, 2004
2. East - 3:53 - from Hello
3. The Chariot (Cuba) - 5:09 - F Riebl - from Two Shoes (Indica)
4. Call Me Home (Alt. Version) - 4:18 - F Riebl
5. Zero (feat. Anbessa Gebrehiwot) - 6:59 - from The Key of Sea
6. Dave - 3:53 - Jackson Jackson - from Dave
7. Here Come the Scissors - 3:32 - The Genie - from Here Come the Scissors
8. I Won't Know You Anymore - 6:46 - F Riebl - from Into the Rain

10. Underground - 7:12 - H Angus - from Little Stories

  1. Is there anywhere where I can buy the actual CD and not just the online copy?

  2. Hey.... Just for your info, after I requested a higher resolution copy of the album, the management at Tunes for Change very kindly provided a full 320kbps version for me and importantly have now replaced the 128kbps files on the store server for everyone else.

After discussion with the band they have also disappointingly decided against a physical CD release, which was announced on their Facebook page today. Lossless download would have been brilliant but personally I wish to give many thanks to Tunes for Change for at least upgrading the low quality files. Regards.

  3. Oh okay, well i bought the online copy anyway, the higher resolution copy too I think. Thanks for doing that! I guess it would save the money for making the physical CDs and put it towards charity instead. So in the end it's for a good cause :)
