Black Jack Carson - Biography

Black Jack Carson is a spoof/joke country music artist from 'Houston, Texas" - created by a member of The Cat Empire, theorised to be either Ryan, Ross or Will (though listening for myself, I'd say it's the same vocalist as that of Sodomy County's 'Rhymes with Home').

Much like Sodomy County, songs were uploaded and made available for listening through his MySpace page in 2008. All songs are still currently available for streaming, but not for download.

Little is known about the exact identity of 'Black Jack Carson', but included on his profile is a this faux bio:

Before the late great Johnny Cash passed on, he said that there was one man who was keeping his dream alive. That man is Black Jack Carson. In JCs own words: "Black Jack Carson has a voice of pure gold and tells stories that everybody can relate to".

Black Jack Carson was born the seventh son of a seventh son and was raised on the prairies of Kansas where his gun slinging ways and his musical prowess brought him both infamy and fame in equal measure.

After serving his time in the jailhouses of Utah, Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska, Black Jack Carson has recently recorded his debut album "I've Never Killed a Man Who Didn't Deserve To Die".

Black Jack Carson is the first musician to be nominated for a Grammy Award while being on remand for attempted murder.

His influences are listed as "Tumbleweeds, Horses, Saloons, Guns" and 'sounds like' "If Johnny Cash had never found Jesus..."
