The Cat Empire - July 30th @ Webster Hall, NYC, USA

Holy $#%@, best night ever! Last night, after specifically flying out to New York to see them, I had the privilege of seeing my all time (for 5 years) favorite band!!! Could not have asked for a better experience!! There's just so much to tell, I'm going to have to post this in installments... but here are the main points I'll touch on in later posts:

• It was standing room only, but nevertheless I got to be in the FRONT ROW, SMACK DAB IN THE CENTER. I was so close I could touch Felix's feet! (I only did twice... haha...)
• It was the best show ever! Not really a point to touch on, but for me, this takes the cake, haha.
• My Sister & I got to hang out with Ross after the show! He's a really cool guy, overall! He asked to hang out with us at later points, haha, got contact info (kinda).
• Ross was able to explain some things, from the changes from Karna to Call Me Home, to Felix's semi-significant other, to some stuff about The Bamboos touring, etc.
• Ryan gave me the copy of their setlist, which I'll scan later...
• I got video of most of the concert! It's crappy audio, so I'll only post the highlights later..
• I met/got pictures with Ross, Harry & Jumps! (Met Kieran & Ryan too)
• Harry said he wasn't mad about the whole "Cinema leak" thing. He actually laughed --- said it was a good publicity thing.
• Ross got THE WHOLE BAND + THE EMPIRE HORNS to sign my copy of The Sun!!!! (I'll scan later)
• Jumps is working on getting out vinyl recordings!!
• I wrote a page long note to the whole band, which I threw onstage at the end & Ryan picked up
