The Conglomerate - Australian studio releases - Go to the Beach (2005)

The Conglomerate is a four-piece modern jazz quartet residing from Melbourne, Australia. The band consists of TCE trumpeter and vocalist Harry James Angus, TCE pianist Ollie McGill, as well as bassist Jules Pascoe and Harry Shaw-Reynolds on the drums.

Their debut album, Go to the Beach, was an independent release, distributed by MGM Distribution, and released in 2005. It is a ten track release, described as some as 'experimental', featuring long 5+ minute 'jamming' tracks, and also featuring two cover songs. The album is very hard to find in stores, but can be purchased through the band's manager, Jeremy, who is also a manager of Bennett's Lane Jazz Club in Melbourne, Australia (cost is $25 + $5 postage Australia wide - contact me for his details if you wish).

The track listing is as follows:
1. A Hot Day - 6:59 - The Conglomerate
2. Theme - 2:02 - H Angus
3. Zen Ollie - 1:18 - The Conglomerate
4. Kombi Ride - 9:18 - The Conglomerate
5. Fight Scene - 4:59 - The Conglomerate

  2. Hey to whoever maybe listening.... I am totally loving this band but am extremely disappointed that I can not find a copy of the CD ANYWHERE!!! Online or at a real store. I live in Canada, I have been to a couple Cat Empire shows and have not noticed The Conglomerate cd's there either. Any help would be really appreciated! You can reach me with any info @ silverphorque@facebook.com or silverphorque@gmail.com

Thank you for your time. Also, how can I get a copy of Harry Angus's new album as well?

    Thanks.
