The Cat Empire - Canadian studio releases - Two Shoes special edition (2006)

The first Canadian release - the two disc special edition of Two Shoes, featuring some unreleased video footage, as well as a fifteen track audio CD, combining tracks from both the 2003 self titled release (the last six tracks, noted as 'North American Encores' on the back insert), and Two Shoes (see below for the track listings of these releases). This was released in 2006 under Indica Records, a Canadian record label based in Montreal, Quebec, founded by rock band 'Grim Skunk'.

Nothing else much to say, really. Please see the discography pages for the self titled album and Two Shoes regarding guest artists for the featured tracks.

The track listing is as follows:

Disc 1 (music):
1. Sly - 3:54 - F Riebl (this track has about 5-6 seconds at the start where the band can be heard speaking, mostly inaudible)
2. In My Pocket - 5:07 - H Angus
3. Lullaby - 5:01 - F Riebl (shorter by 34 seconds, as certain parts are removed)
4. The Car Song - 4:22 - H Angus
5. Two Shoes - 5:16 - F Riebl
6. The Chariot - 5:07 - F Riebl ('Havana' version of the track, recorded in Cuba)
7. Sol y Sombra - 6:05 - O McGill, F Riebl, H Angus, R Monro
8. Party Started - 3:47 - O McGill, F Riebl, H Angus
9. Protons, Neutrons, Electrons - 4:49 - H Angus
10. Hello - 3:50 - F Riebl
11. How to Explain? - 3:38 - F Riebl
12. The Lost Song - 3:20 - F Riebl
13. Days Like These - 4:08 - F Riebl, H Angus, O McGill
14. The Rhythm - 3:26 - F Riebl, H Angus
15. The Wine Song - 7:22 - H Angus

(It should be noted that although most tracks are 3-4 seconds longer than on the 'original' releases, they are in no way 'extended' versions of the tracks, with exceptions as noted above).

1. Live

The first and second tracks of the Live segment are taken from a gig at The Forum in Melbourne. Tracks three and four are from the Woodford Folk Festival (either 2004 or 2005, I think it's from the latter) and were previously unreleased. The last four tracks are all taken from 2004 release, On the Attack.
