So Many Nights is The Cat Empire's fourth studio album and was released under Virgin Records in Australia peaking at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart on October 7th, approximately 2 weeks after release.

The album features all-new previously unreleased material, with three mainstream singles - 'No Longer There', 'So Many Nights' and 'Fishies' - the latter two being iTunes exclusive releases.
Upon release, two different versions were retailed in Australia - A JB Hi Fi exclusive release, with a cardboard slipcase and the normal jewel cased retail version.
