The Cat Empire (self titled) was produced by Andy Baldwin and The Cat Empire.
An official album launch was held three weeks after its release; on November 15 at The Fly by Night in Fremantle WA.
It contains three mainstream singles - Hello, Days Like These and The Chariot, with one lesser known single - One Four Five and went platinum in February 2004, approximately four months after its release in Australia.
