The Cat Empire - Australian promotional releases - The Sun 'sampler' (2002)

Around the same time as the release of The Sun, The Cat Empire also released a four track promo entitled 'Sampler'. The release contained four tracks taken from The Sun, along with a fold out booklet with information such as the band history, 'mission' and highlights from their career (up to the point of release).

The artwork is identical to The Sun with the exception that it is greyscale - from this we can assume that Ian McGill also designed this artwork. Little is known about the promo regarding where/who it was sold to, release dates and whatnot - 1000 copies were made of this release, making it slightly harder to come by than the album from which the tracks were taken (confirmed by Correne).

The track listing is as follows:
1. Hello - 5:07 - F Riebl
2. The Mother Place - 3:19 - F Riebl
3. The Crowd - 5:27 - H Angus
4. Wanted to Write a Love Song - 6:49 - F Riebl
